Description
Fletcher of the Hobbo Fellowship
Warden of Edge and String
Boru is known upon Mt. BlackFeather as a quiet sentinel — a craftsman whose work strikes true long before his presence is felt. He wears his brown hair kept practical against the wind, and a well-kept mustache that frames a face shaped by cold air and patience.
As the Fellowship’s Fletcher, Boru crafts arrows with near-reverent care. Each shaft is chosen, straightened, and balanced by hand; each fletching bound as though it carries a vow. To Boru, an arrow is not ammunition — it is a promise that effort, when guided well, will find its mark.
In battle, he favors the battleaxe and the bow, weapons of balance and restraint. The axe serves him when the mountain path grows close and unforgiving; the bow when distance and judgment are required. He believes neither should be raised without cause, and both should be returned clean.
Boru spends long hours at the edge of the village, where wind tests feather and string alike. There, he listens — not for voices, but for shifts in air, signs of movement, and the subtle language of the mountain. It is said he can read the coming of strangers by the way crows alter their flight.
He speaks little of faith, yet honors it through discipline. Every arrow loosed in defense of BlackFeather is preceded by a moment’s stillness, a habit learned not from scripture, but from survival.
Boru does not seek glory in the kill.
His craft exists to protect silence.
His vigilance ensures others may endure it.
