Description
The Changeling Heir
• Appearance: Iyla possesses a "blurred" quality common to those who spend too long in the Faerie realms. Her hair is the color of rich fertile soil, often tangled with small blossoms or twigs that seem to grow directly from the strands. Her eyes are her most striking feature, iridescent like a dragon-fly’s wing, shifting from amber to moss green depending on her mood. She moves with a silent, feline grace that feels predatory to humans and perfectly natural to spirits.
• Attire: She wears garments woven from "spidersilk" and cured leaves, reinforced with rusted pieces of human armor she found in the woods. Around her neck, she carries a heavy iron key, the only physical link to her royal human lineage, which she wears despite the faint, irritating sting iron causes to her faetouched skin.
• Personality: Iyla is a creature of contradictions. She is fiercely protective of her forest home but feels a strange, pull toward the stone walls of the human city. She lacks human social graces; she might stare too long, speak in riddles, or forget that "ownership" is a concept humans value. Beneath her wild exterior lies a sharp, strategic mind, a gift from the kings and queens she never knew.

Backstory
Born during a bloody coup, Iyla was smuggled out of the palace by a loyal nursemaid who made a desperate bargain with a High Fae. The Fae took the babe, not out of kindness, but out of curiosity. Raised in the Court of Dew and Shadow, Iyla learned to speak to the wind before she learned to speak to people. She grew up believing she was a strange, wingless sprite, until the day she found a human crown in the mud and realized her blood sang a different song than that of her foster kin.
