Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Pax Dei Atlas ("we", "us", "our", or the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Pax Dei Atlas, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

2. Description of Service

Pax Dei Atlas is a community platform for players of the Pax Dei game. We provide:

Interactive maps with custom markers
Character and clan profile management
Quest and event coordination tools
Marketplace for in-game item trading information
Service directory for in-game crafting skills
Community features and social connections

Important: All content on this Platform relates to the fictional game world of Pax Dei. Characters, clans, locations, and marketplace items are in-game representations only. No real-world goods or services (except voluntary donations) are transacted through this Platform.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You must create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Account Security

You must not:

Share your account credentials with others
Use another user's account without permission
Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
Attempt to access accounts that don't belong to you

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.

4. User-Generated Content

4.1 Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create (character profiles, clan information, quest descriptions, etc.). By posting content on the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content to provide and improve the Platform.

4.2 Content Guidelines

You agree NOT to post content that:

Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or defamatory
Infringes on intellectual property rights
Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
Is sexually explicit or contains nudity
Promotes discrimination, hate speech, or violence
Impersonates another person or entity
Violates the Pax Dei game's terms of service
Attempts to sell real-world goods or services (except voluntary platform donations)

4.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to review, monitor, edit, or remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. We may remove content and suspend accounts without prior notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
Harass, bully, or abuse other users
Spam, advertise, or solicit users
Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise Platform security
Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Platform
Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Platform
Interfere with other users' ability to use the Platform
Collect personal information about other users
Use the Platform to conduct real-world commercial transactions (except donations)

6. In-Game Content Disclaimer

Important Notice

All content on Pax Dei Atlas represents fictional, in-game activities within the Pax Dei game world. This includes:

Character names and profiles (fictional game characters)
Clan information (in-game guilds/groups)
Marketplace items and transactions (in-game items only)
Quest listings and rewards (game activities)
Service advertisements (in-game crafting services)

No Real-World Trading: The marketplace and quest systems track in-game items and activities only. Users must not use these features to facilitate real-world transactions for in-game items or services, as this may violate Pax Dei's terms of service.

7. Donations and Supporter Features

7.1 Voluntary Donations

Donations through Ko-Fi are completely voluntary and support the Platform's hosting and development costs. Donations are not tax-deductible and are non-refundable.

7.2 Supporter Benefits

Supporters gain access to additional features such as custom page layouts and room creation. We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove supporter benefits at any time with reasonable notice.

7.3 No Purchase of In-Game Items

Donations do not provide in-game items, currency, characters, or advantages in the Pax Dei game. They only provide platform-specific features on Pax Dei Atlas.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Platform Rights

Pax Dei Atlas, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by its creators. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

8.2 Pax Dei Game Rights

Pax Dei, its characters, world, lore, and assets are owned by their respective copyright holders. This Platform is a fan-made project and is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by the Pax Dei development team.

8.3 DMCA Compliance

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please contact us through Discord with details of the alleged infringement.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.1 "As-Is" Basis

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9.2 No Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF IN-GAME ITEMS OR PROGRESS.

9.3 User Interactions

We are not responsible for interactions between users, including disputes over quests, trades, or other in-game activities coordinated through the Platform.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pax Dei Atlas, its creators, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your violation of these Terms
Your use of the Platform
Your content posted on the Platform
Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the Platform or sending an email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability) will remain in effect.

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us through Discord first to attempt informal resolution.

13.2 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Miscellaneous

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pax Dei Atlas regarding use of the Platform.

No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
